As part of our on-going development, we are providing free beta-version downloads for testing and evaluation. These beta versions may contain known issues or bugs. There is no warranty for koala, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Except when otherwise stated in writing the copyright holders and/or other parties provide the program “as is” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the program is with you. Should the program prove defective, you assume the cost of all necessary servicing, repair or correction.
In no event unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing will any copyright holder, or any other party who modifies and/or conveys the program be liable to you for damages, including any general, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the program (including but not limited to loss of data or data being rendered inaccurate or losses sustained by you or third parties or a failure of the program to operate with any other programs), even if such holder or other party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
We've made this version avaiable as soon as was possible, despite a number of known stability, performance and memory leakage issues; these are all a result of the rapid migration and are not fundamental problems with the processing or rendering engines.
Since mouse navigation is disabled, you'll need to either familiarise yourself with the keyboard controls, or - even better - use a games controller device.
If you edit any of the text fields in the toolbars, the 3d windows will appear to have become unresponsive to keyboard input. This is not a bug, and is because the text editor still has "keyboard focus". After clicking anywhere in the 3d window or application window keyboard interaction will be restored.
If you can load a library and process, but koala crashes or refuses to display a cell you should check that your OpenGL configuration meets the minimum requirements.
If you can display a cell but the lighting and shading appear incorrect or textures are not displayed correctly, you should check that your OpenGL configuration meets the minimum requirements.
If you can display a cell but the navigation is very slow, first check that "depth of field" is not enabled. Depth of field is an extremely CPU and GPU intensive effect which should only be enabled on higher-end machines.
